Davis Wallbridge Inc. was founded by Davis Douglas Wallbridge in the 1920's. Mr. Wallbridge had moved from Canada to Solvay, NY as a twenty year old construction laborer. After puchasing a small fleet of flat bed trucks he was contracted through the Crucible Steel Company of America to haul steel from the Solvay Plant. In the early 1930's Mr. Wallbridge purchased a small roller and dump truck and progressed into a small driveway paving contractor.

After completing a tour as a bomber pilot in Germany during WWII and obtaining a civil engineering degree from Syracuse University, son Davis S. Wallbridge began working in Los Angeles, California. A call from his parents brought Davis home in 1953 to take over the family trucking and paving business. Around 1960, Davis S.'s brother G. Douglas Wallbridge completed his service with the United States Air Force as a pilot. He then joined his older brother to operate the family business.

Since, Davis Wallbridge Inc. has constructed an paved various projects from the residential driveway to local interstates. Davis S. Wallbridge retired in 1998 at the age of 75. G. Douglas Wallbridge is the President and an active part of Davis Wallbridge Inc. today.
